Feds Holding Summits for Lesbian Farmers

It’s tough being gay and living in rural areas – or so says the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

That’s why the agency known for grading your beef is teamed up with LGBT groups and Drake University’s law school to host an “LGBT Rural Summit” last Thursday, August 18, 2015.

#RuralPride Campaign: LGBT Rural Summit Series is part of an effort by the USDA, the National Center for Lesbian Rights and the True Colors Fund – an LGBT homelessness group started by singer Cyndi Lauper (GIRLS DON’T WANNA BE PLOWED) to reach out to LGBT people who live in rural areas.
Now it’s “GIRLS JUST WANNA PLOW” as they chew one another’s rag.

The agency said nearly 10 percent of all same-sex couples in the United States live in rural areas and are “actually more likely to be families of color and raising children.”

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force also issued a report finding that these couples are more likely to be low-income and are almost twice as likely to receive public assistance,” the agency said. “The transgender community is particularly vulnerable.”

The government said the LGBT community in rural America has “a number of particular needs and vulnerabilities that USDA is excited to target and address.”

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack a former state senator and two-term Iowa governor, the keynote speaker, beamed with ‘pride‘ when he announced “our reputation around the country we were not particularly proud of in civil rights,” he said of his early years at USDA. “African-Americans referred to USDA as the last plantation and with some justification.” But, Vilsack said, he is now proud to say “we’ve turned the page” by settling many of the claims and making the agency more diverse and inclusive.

It’s in our best interest as a department to be able to reflect the America that we represent and work for,” he said. “We are a much more functioning, better department because we represent the entirety of America.

White House liaison Ashlee Davis, who was previously special assistant to the assistant secretary for civil rights, is the point person for the operation.

Ashlee Davis

Ashlee Davis

Davis’s LinkedIn page says she used to work on the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and for the Equality Federation, where she “Researched and analyzed religious-based bigotry and its influence on civil rights legislation.”

USDA wants to change image of farmers from ‘white, rich male’.

During a summit in Jackson, Mississippi last year, the head of the USDA’s rural pride summit Ashlee Davis said the agency is working very hard to change how people think about rural America, away from the “white, rich male“.

The USDA event was more direct on the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Civil Rights webpage. They proclaim it as collaboration between the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Civil Rights and the National Center for Lesbian Rights and The True Colors Fund.
The leftist/marxist controlling your government is now sending flannel wearing lesbians to take over rural America and threaten its values.
The USDA and other federal agencies are nothing more than the conduit for policies, programs, and services.

But then again, YOU wanna throw in the towel, remember?
