Leaders pledge to save ‘Mother Earth’ despite Trump’s decision to abandon Paris accord

It’d be fascinating to see if the doomsday message persisted if all financial motivation was removed from Warmology.
Of course that’s never gonna happen so people who essentially get paid for shouting about the end of the world will keep doing what they have to do to keep getting paid. Which is shouting about the end of the world. If you even tried they’d shout even louder till someone chucked them some money. Like a wind turbine manufacturer or something.

Basic tenets of the modern world:
1. If someone tells you something a lot then always question how they stand to benefit from your believing them.
2. If there’s money involved you should distrust it in direct proportional to the amount of money stood to be lost/gained.

The World Meteorological Organization estimated that U.S. withdrawal from the emissions-cutting accord could add 0.3 degrees Celsius to global temperatures by the end of the century in a worst-case scenario.

Germany’s Merkel, a pastor’s daughter who is usually intensely private about her faith, said the accord was needed “to preserve our Creation.”

“To everyone for whom the future of our planet is important, I say let’s continue going down this path so we’re successful for our Mother Earth,” she said to applause from lawmakers.

In Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron turned Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan on its head, saying in a rare English-language statement that it was time to “make the planet great again.”

OK guys, so you want me to take YOUR word, NOT fact, NOT common sense.

You who have absolutely NO knowlege or skill with the environment, meteorology, or any training or accomplisment in any DISCIPLINED science.

But, you are a skilled bureaucrat, you know an official in a government department, in particular one perceived as being concerned with procedural correctness at the expense of people’s needs.

Being a reasonable man willing to give you give the benefit of the doubt.

Then again, in the tradition of barganing in “good faith”, since you are asking for something it is YOU who MUST give or offer a willingness to reach an accord on proposed new contract terms.
It does not necessarily mean that it is I who is required to make a concession or agree to any proposal.

Balance your budget, JUST ONCE, not from this point on but, JUST ONCE!

We won’t even go near – “eliminate YOUR debt”.
